Sail It

Privacy Policy

Effective 1 September 2026

The short version: Sail It collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics services, and no tracking of any kind. Everything the app saves — your progress, your settings — stays on your device.

What the app stores, and where

Sail It keeps your training progress (berths completed, best runs, star ratings) and your preferences (day or night display, sound, which boat you last sailed) in local storage on your own device. This data never leaves your device, is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, and is deleted if you delete the app.

What the app does not do

Diagnostics and crash reports

The app writes ordinary technical logs while it runs (for example, rendering errors). These stay on your device.

If the app crashes, Apple may send us an anonymised crash report — but only if you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in your device settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements). These reports come from Apple, contain no personal information, and are used solely to find and fix bugs. You can turn this off at any time in your device settings.

If a future version of Sail It ever adds its own diagnostic reporting, it will be strictly opt-in, and this policy will be updated first.

Support email

If you email us for help, we will receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply to you, we do not add it to any mailing list, and we do not share it.

Children

Sail It is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, children included.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, changes are unlikely to be exciting.
